Nyiragongo Volcano

Moses was a great guide and a magician at the border. He's super personable and great to deal with. I did the hike of the Nyirangongo Volcano with Moses, and spent a day at Lake Kivu. The hike was pretty difficult in a great way (my girlfriend had never hiked and she made it), I would recommend getting the hiking poles. It's definitely worth it at the top. The weather wasn't great, so we didn't get a clear view of the lava - but got some cool red smoke and I do believe people can see the crater with weather permitting. Lake Kivu was great for a day, Moses has some great recommendations of super relaxing places to stay. I got a really weird hot springs massage which I would recommend - it was memorable. You need your Yellow Fever vaccine for DRC. I've hiked a few volcanos in Africa and this was the best in my opinion. Moses is the man!
